FulcrumSec claims theft of data linked to 8.7 million Manchester Airports Group customers

FulcrumSec has claimed responsibility for a cyber incident affecting Manchester Airports Group, alleging that it stole approximately 86 GB of customer data.
MAG confirmed that customer information linked to car park, lounge, Fast Track and Wi-Fi registrations was accessed. Approximately 8.7 million customers were reportedly affected, although payment information and airport operations were not impacted.
The incident highlights the growing use of data theft for extortion and the risks created when credentials are exposed in public-facing applications.
