2022 in Review Cyber Threats to the Healthcare Sector

Our 2022 report on healthcare cyber attacks reveals a staggering 47 incidents – almost double the previous year’s number. With access to vast amounts of personally identifiable information, healthcare organisations are increasingly targeted by threat actors. Ransomware attacks were the most common, followed by data leaks and nation-state incidents. With 28 incidents occurring in the second half of the year alone, the trend is expected to continue into 2023.
